Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will receive a return if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers

- Paul

In November 2001 the Goodlife Centre opened its doors to the Buderim community and has become a focal point of the surrounding community since that time.

The centre was opened with the specific purpose of meeting many of the needs of our community and has proven effective as a place that people come to connect at various levels and for many reasons.

At the heart of the Goodlife Centre, is the Goodlife Church. From the very beginning there was the belief and intent to create a place where love, care and concern would be lived out in practical ways on a daily basis. Since it’s opening this belief has remained the core strength of the operation of the Goodlife Centre.

The Goodlife Church gatherings are a time for people to gather together to celebrate and experience God’s love for humanity and to share that love with one another. It is an environment that encourages exploration of faith and relationship with God and connection with others.

Our goal is to see people engaged in the life giving process of finding belonging, hope, restoration, purpose and transformational community.

We are a community of living stories interwoven and overlaid and these stories are still being written in our midst.

“Its the way we do life that declares what we believe”
“All of us carry equal responsibility to bring light and life into the midst of our community”

- Tim

A community is so much more than a geographical location, it speaks of a deep sense of belonging and of being a part of a supportive, caring network or family.

Our Community is a group of individuals connected via a common thread. A thread of belief, a thread of value, a thread of interest, a thread of hope, a common thread that draws us together. Community speaks of intentionality as we recognise that it is also possible for an individual to be in a vibrant location and yet remain in isolation. It is an intentional connectedness that goes beyond our geographical borders and goes deeper than our skin.

Each of us are involved at some varying degree in multiple communities, whether it is at school, at work, in business, in a faith community, an interest based gathering, a sports team or a social setting but we each carry equal responsibility to bring light and life into it’s midst. We have to make the choice to be intentional in every area of life and endeavour.

As individuals we are ambassadors and bearers of the name of Jesus Christ wherever we are. In our homes, our neighbourhoods, our schools, our shopping, our recreation, our socialising, our place of business or work.

As individuals and as the Goodlife Centre we are actively engaged with our local community and region through relationships, connectedness, service and support and we desire to build meaningful relationships with those around us.

Through these connections and partnerships with other Churches, organisations, businesses and community support agencies we continue to grow as a recognised part of the cohesive development efforts that are taking place across the Sunshine Coast region today.

“Righteousness exalts a nation”

- Proverbs

Goodlife has always had a sense of call to our nation. From the inception of our vision the founding fathers of Goodlife have maintained a sense of destiny for Australia and the desire to see our nation become one that leads the world in faith, love, mercy and justice.

We pursue strategic partnerships with churches and like-minded national organisations, developing a community connectedness model. We will continue to develop, send and support teams who identify locations and regions and in turn strategise towards establishing kindred communities across our nation.

We see the value of involvement and representation in the political landscape of Australia. It is appropriate through local and national action groups, and the support of like-minded political candidates, to have a voice in this vital area. When it comes to the leadership of our nation we all have a voice and we should prayerfully use it.

We believe in supporting and encouraging ethical and integral business people and encouraging faithful and responsible work habits. Positive work environments create positive outcomes.

The family is the bedrock of our culture and we therefore make efforts to equip and encourage healthy, nurturing, parenting and harmonious living. Strength or character in life begins with a safe home setting. Confident and balanced lives are developed in positive home environments.

We see the value in the ongoing support of and engagement with culture influencers and appropriate national agencies who go where we can’t. We believe in and support the work of media organisations, publications, musicians, artists, designers, educators, and others in the arena of public influence that are positive, affirming and in turn build life giving communities.

We will continue to pray for our nation. We will actively pray for the leadership of our nation  and we will hold fast to hope as we engage with purpose.

“Gods mercy and grace give me hope - for myself, and for our world”

- Billy Graham

From the very beginning of the Goodlife Church has taken the call to be active in the nations of the world as a serious call and an engaging invitation. It has never been seen as the duty of someone else alone and therefore we continually encourage participation in the development, strengthening and transformation of the nations.

The Global Impact of Goodlife continues to expand as individuals and families invest themselves in nations, regions and people groups through direct personal involvement in a location or through development organisations such as Compassion International, World Vision, VANA Childcare Ministries and many others.

Although it may seem like a fanciful notion for many people to relocate to invest themselves in a foreign nation it is something we can all invest in by simply sharing and giving to those in need through the many trusted agencies we partner with at Goodlife. Adopting a child for example via sponsorship is a powerful way we can connect personally with the ongoing development of an individual, a family, a community and a nation outside of our own.

Every one of us can also be a part of engaging with our Global Impact Partners, those who have gone out into the nations to invest their lives in others. Our partners around the world are actively supporting the nations they are in through child and community development, education and medical relief, ethical commerce, reconciliation and Christian leadership development. All of us can still be involved with our Global Impact Partners. We can financially invest ourselves. We can stay in communication and encourage them. We can remember their needs and engage prayerfully.

We can all do something.
